Things to do in Austin
Austin has tons of activites to participate in after your Segway tour. There are ample fun things to do in Austin including other sightseeing and outdoor activities.
The Texas Capitol Building - Texas state capitol building. Built in 1888. 1 block East of Segway Nation Austin's office. When completed, it was the 7th largest building in the world, and the tallest building in America. Admission is free and tours are given at least twice per hour by capitol tour guides. Explore the congressional rooms, rotunda and underground extension.
6th Street - Historic 6th Street. Many bars, restaurants and live-music venues. 6th Street is famous for having nearly a mile of bars, restaurants and live music venues lining the street. 6th Street is home to many annual concerts, festivals and events including South by Southwest and the Pecan Street Festival.
Bob Bullock State History Museum - This great museum is located between the capitol building and the University of Texas. It offers a great exhibit on how Texas was first settled, features an IMAX theater and other fun activities.
Warehouse District - Another area of downtown Austin with restaurants, bars and music venues
2nd Street Shopping District - New skyscrapers and shopping area. Home to Austin City Limits filming
Congress Avenue Bridge - Home to the world famous Congress Avenue bridge bats. Nearly 2 million bats live here
Governor’s Mansion - Home to the Texas Governor. 1 block SouthEast of Segway Nation Austin's office
Moon Light Towers - Moonlight towers erected in late 1800's. Austin is the only city in the world with moonlight towers.
Town Lake - Also know as Lady Bird Lake. Tons of kayaking, waterbike or hike/bike trails for after your Segway tour.
Barton Springs Place to go swimming after your Segway tour. Especially wonderful during the summer heat.
Zilker Park - South of downtown Austin. Home to the ACL music festival
Lake Travis - Lake just West of downtown Austin. Excellent place to rent a boat, jetski or other fun watercraft
Austin Water Bikes - Austin's newest water attraction
